Notre Dame Hounds (4) vs Prairie Hockey Academy (6) U17
Devin Doyle (3G) would get things going for the Hounds early into play, curling into the slot before firing home the opening goal. However, Prairie would leave the first on top as Tristan Reimer and Noah Delaurier (1G, 1A) would score a pair. Notre Dame would claw back in the second with a pair of their own, restoring their one goal lead ahead of the final frame. Come the third period, Prairie found their groove, scoring four unanswered goals in the opening six minutes. Soren Hayden (1G, 3A) would ignite things off under a minute in off a strong solo effort before rifling one five hole. Hayden’s tally would be followed up by Kase Gellner (1G, 1A) and a pair of goals by Eric Helland (2G). Doyle would get one back for Notre Dame, clinching his hat-trick in the process, but it was not enough to erase Prairie’s hot start as they fall 6-4.
Notre Dame Hounds (7) vs Indigenous Sports Academy (3) U17 Prep
Following a Seth Baptiste (1G, 1A) goal late in the first to put ISA up by one, Notre Dame’s Lukas Lundgren would tie things up with under a minute to go in the frame. Lundgren’s goal would lay the groundwork for the Hounds in the second as they would score four unanswered to establish a 6-2 lead. Maximus Bigchild would strike once more for ISA while Matthew Boekelder (2G, 2A) scored Notre Dame’s seventh of the evening, capping off a four point outing. Reg Huebner (2G, 3A) would sit atop the scoresheet for the Hounds, collecting five points while Caden Smith (32/35) posted 32-stops in the victory.
